John Cena shares a cryptic post for Triple H on his birthday

John Cena has taken to social media to share a cryptic post for Triple H. On July 27, 2024, The Game celebrated his 55th birthday.

Cena and Triple H have shared the ring on numerous occasions with each other. At the Greatest Royal Rumble Premium Live Event 2018, the two superstars shared the ring one final time before The Game hung up his wrestling boots.

On Instagram, Cena shared a photo of him taking a Pedigree from Triple H. As usual, the 16-time WWE World Champion posted the photo without providing a context. Considering the timing of the post, it was possibly John's way of wishing the 55-year-old legend on his birthday.

At WrestleMania 38, Triple H officially announced his retirement from professional wrestling. His last official match as a WWE Superstar was against Randy Orton, whom he faced on an episode of Monday Night RAW in 2021.

CM Punk is open to teaming up with John Cena

CM Punk and John Cena are long-term rivals. They have shared the ring on multiple occasions, most notably at Money in the Bank 2011 when Punk won the WWE Championship in Chicago and walked out with the title.

John Cena has confirmed that he will retire from professional wrestling in 2025. Fans have expressed their interest in one last match between Cena and Punk. However, Punk would rather prefer teaming up with the 16-time WWE World Champion.

Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con, Punk pitched the idea of him teaming up with Cena. He said that although everyone was asking him if he'd face off with the retiring legend, the Best in the World suggested that the pair team up instead and that it could turn out very interesting.

"Everybody’s asking me, because [John] Cena has announced his retirement, that, obviously, they want to see us fight each other. I think there’s something to me and him tagging. I think that can be pretty interesting," said Punk.

Cena's farewell tour will kick-start in 2025. He is expected to compete in the Men's Royal Rumble Match and the Elimination Chamber Match. WrestleMania 41 is also going to be his Last Show of Shows. It remains to be seen who his final opponent turns out to be.
