John Cena has two WWE Superstars as potential final opponents, says veteran
The WWE Universe's excitement about the return of John Cena at Money in the Bank 2024 turned into heartbreak following the shocking announcement of his retirement next year. Now that his retirement tour has been set to end next year, there's heavy speculation regarding his final opponents in the WWE.
The 16-time World Champion has shared the ring with many incredible stars and had many remarkable feuds throughout his illustrious career. Wrestling veteran Bill Apter pointed to two WWE Superstars who would make the most sense to be Cena's last match.
Speaking over on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine, Apter noted that Bron Breakker and CM Punk are the two strong contenders to have a match with Cena during his final year.
"I think that Cena for his final match, what I hear in the wind, would be one of two people. One will be Bron Breakker, the son of Rick Steiner. The other one would be CM Punk, who is chomping at the bit, chomping at the bit to wrestle John Cena."
Cena has a number of options to choose from during his last few matches, perhaps one last dance with Randy Orton would also be in the cards.
