John Cena has two WWE stars as potential opponents, says veteran (Exclusive)
The WWE Universe was pleasantly surprised to see John Cena make his return at Money in the Bank last week, embarking on his apparent retirement run. According to veteran journalist Bill Apter, there are two strong contenders for Cena's final match at this point.
The Cenation Leader has had a remarkable career in pro wrestling, having won the WWE world title a whopping 16 times, among other achievements. As such, his comeback is a momentous occasion that has already sparked conversations about his future opponents.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter stated that Bron Breakker and CM Punk would be strong opponents to face Cena during his retirement tour.
"I think that Cena for his final match, what I hear in the wind, would be one of two people. One will be Bron Breakker, the son of Rick Steiner. The other one would be CM Punk, who is chomping at the bit, chomping at the bit to wrestle John Cena." [11:40 onwards]

Bill Apter believes John Cena is in WWE to drive up ratings like The Rock
According to Bill Apter, Cena is primed to fill the void left behind by The Rock's absence.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, the veteran journalist stated:
"One of the things that brought them to a higher level, bringing in people who didn't watch pro-wrestling or WWE was when The Rock was there. Brought it up for a while. It levelled off, but it is still doing great. So to me with The Rock out of there, when you ask people who is in WWE? They are like, come up with a name. But they always say the Rock during that period of time," he said. "Now they've got John Cena, who everyone knows from his movie career. From his commercials, from the TV stuff he has done. So he is on kind of that like Rock level. So he brings the recognizable bill board type of name to the company."
As of now, it remains to be seen how The Cenation Leader's last run will turn out.
