John Cena winning major WWE championship for the first time in his career is possible, says Chris Van Vliet
John Cena is set to return to WWE in 2025 to embark on his retirement tour. TV host & podcaster Chris Van Vliet recently claimed The Cenation Leader could win a title for the first time during his final run.
The 47-year-old legend has been part of the main roster since 2002. In addition to his 16 World Championships, Cena has also held the United States Championship five times and won four Tag Team Titles. However, The Franchise Player has never held the Intercontinental Championship in his long and successful in-ring career.
Speaking on his Insight podcast, Van Vliet suggested Cena could win the Intercontinental Title for the first time in 2025 to become a Grand Slam Champion:
"I think that he wins number 17. I think there's also a very good possibility that he wins the Intercontinental Championship. But let's be honest here, let's be completely honest here, he doesn't need it. He doesn't need it at all," he said. [From 26:33 to 26:48]

WWE legend predicted the result of a potential match between John Cena and Bron Breakker
In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter earlier this year, Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker's father, WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner, predicted the result of a potential match between his son and John Cena.
The wrestling legend claimed Breakker would defeat the 16-time World Champion with a spear or two:
"Spear [laughs]. He [John Cena] may not be able to keep up either. Maybe two spears."

Breakker captured the Intercontinental Championship after defeating Jey Uso on the October 21 episode of Monday Night RAW. The 27-year-old is currently in his second reign.
