Judgment Day is no more: WWE star betrays Damian Priest at SummerSlam
A popular WWE Superstar and Judgment Day member broke several hearts at the 2024 SummerSlam Premium Live Event after betraying Damian Priest. The star being referred to is Finn Balor.
The Biggest Party of the Summer has not been the best of shows for The Judgment Day. First, Dominik Mysterio shocked the whole world by betraying Rhea Ripley and siding with Liv Morgan. Now Balor has also turned his back on Priest.
Damian Priest and Gunther locked horns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam. The duo delivered incredible performances, showcasing their strength inside the squared circle. Although Priest has made it known several times that he did not want The Judgment Day interfering in his bouts, Finn Balor had other ideas.
Balor came out during the last stages of the match, and it looked like he was going to help his stablemate retain the gold. As Priest was about to win by pinning Gunther, The Prince shocked everyone as he helped The Ring General by putting the latter's leg on the rope, forcing the referee to stop the three count.
Following the massive betrayal, an angry Damian Priest got distracted watching his teammate's actions on the big screen inside the arena. Gunther took advantage of the situation and was crowned the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
It seems like The Judgment Day has officially fallen apart. It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for the fearsome faction's future.
