Kairi Sane sends message after recent WWE controversy
Kairi Sane found herself in the middle of a controversy recently after there was a comment on RAW. The star has now spoken up for the first time since then, but it was not about what had happened on Monday.
Sane and IYO SKY were speaking to General Manager Adam Pearce and were leaving when Carlito entered the office. In an unscripted moment, the star decided to improvise a line where he looked after them and said he needed to learn Chinese. This led to a lot of controversy, given that the two stars are Japanese.
According to reports, several people in the company were unhappy with the line being said on television. The line has been edited from the digital copies of the segment. While it has been noted that Sane and SKY reportedly didn't have a problem with it, neither star has spoken much since the segment.
Kairi Sane broke her silence and decided to address her appearance last night on NXT. She said she is who she is thanks to her experiences on NXT. She also thanked everyone for her appearance on NXT.
"Thank you for last night‼︎ #WWENXT I am who I am today thanks to all the experiences I had in @WWENXT.💛," Sane wrote.
What did Kairi Sane and IYO SKY do on WWE NXT?
Damage CTRL had a match against Meta-Four last night on WWE NXT. The two stars have been feuding with Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson for some time now, with them having interfered in IYO SKY and Kairi Sane's matches quite a few times. They got their chance at revenge on NXT, but unfortunately, it was not to be.
SKY was hit with a big boot by Legend, but before the match could get any further, Piper Niven entered the ring and attacked both stars. The referee called the match off in a DNF, and Chelsea Green also attacked both teams.
Meanwhile, it remains to be seen how WWE addresses the Carlito incident.
