Karrion Kross is ready for the main event but, WWE legend weighs in
Karrion Kross was repackaged in January 2024 as the leader of a new faction dubbed The Final Testament. With a long-haired and bearded aesthetic and the numbers on his side, Kross has done whatever he could with the time and content he has been given by WWE. Hall of Famer Kevin Nash says The Herald of Doomsday has been ready for the main event, and it is only a matter of time.
In 2024, Kross has feuded against the likes of Bobby Lashley, The New Day, and most recently, The Wyatt Sicks. Perhaps handing Uncle Howdy and crew their first loss on WWE RAW is the icing on the cake for the 39-year-old and his stable.
On the Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash noted that he always thought WWE was going to do something with Karrion Kross. According to the Hall of Famer, Kross has the "it" factor and is ready to go should the company pull the trigger on him. However, Nash added that there are just way too many talented performers on the roster today:
"I think there’s been a couple of times I thought that they were going to do something with him and they didn’t," Nash said. "No, he’s definitely ready. You've got so much talent there now. " [From 1:26:30 to 1:27:10]
Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux recently opened the door for a potential return for former WWE Women's Champion Alexa Bliss. It will be interesting to see how the company utilizes The Wyatt Sicks and The Final Testament going forward.
Karrion Kross reveals why he turned down a MMA character on WWE TV, talks about The Final Testament
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet not too long ago, Kross articulated his vision for his on-screen character. He revealed that WWE had pitched an MMA gimmick which he turned down, and further went on to explain why.
The Doom Walker stated that if he had more time on television, he would have considered it, given his background in the sport. He claimed that walking out to WWE legend Ken Shamrock's music would have been cool, but then if lengthy matches were not an option, he was not going to accept the prospect. Karrion Kross then discussed about The Final Testament:
"We all meet at the Performance Center and we start shooting these cryptic vignettes," Kross explained. "It was almost like 'Iron Man 3' with The Mandarin, and he had all these TVs behind him — Ben Kingsley, and he's like, 'You'll never see me coming'; these propaganda videos, you know? It was really cool. I loved the setup. Initially, the direction we were going in was almost like a militia occult group."
WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page recently compared Karrion Kross to LA Knight, calling the former NXT Champion a very underrated performer in the game today. DDP also believes it is a matter of the right opportunity.
