Kevin Nash seemingly set for WWE return
The WWE Hall of Fame officially includes 245 inductees, but only nine have been inducted twice in two categories. Kevin Nash is one of those elite legends. While his official retirement came several years back, it appears Nash is set to make a return to WWE soon.
Big Daddy Cool began his career in September 1990 and had runs with WCW, WWE, TNA, NJPW, and the NWA, in addition to countless indie promotions. A founding member of the nWo, Nash is arguably one of the top all-around wrestler-entertainers of the Monday Night Wars era. Nash last wrestled for WWE in December 2011 but did work the 2014 Royal Rumble and around 40 indie matches since 2012. He became BTW Heavyweight Champion on August 10, 2018, and then retired.
Nash is apparently headed to WWE NXT. In what looks to be another example of the company continuing the renewed focus on its official third brand, Nash mentioned that he's booked to go to NXT during the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast. A fan asked Nash if he would be at this week's NXT 2300 event, and while he wouldn't be there in Philadelphia, he casually noted that he was set to go to NXT in December.
Nash checked his calendar and acted as if he would confirm the date while on air, but he trailed off and never confirmed when he would be at NXT. It also was not clear if he would be making a TV appearance or involved in some sort of training with Performance Center talents.
"I think I'm going in December... I think, like December... hold on. [checks calendar] Let me see... [dead air]," Kevin Nash said. [From 1:57:33]
Nash and DX made a special NXT appearance in January 2013. The self-proclaimed Big Sexy also visited to watch talents in action back in 2022, as he is close with NXT boss Shawn Michaels.
