Kevin Owens breaks character to reflect on major WWE match
WWE SmackDown star Kevin Owens broke character on social media to reflect on his match against a Hall of Famer at WrestleMania 38. The Prizefighter sent a message about the moment against his former rival, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Owens hosted a special edition of The KO Show at WrestleMania 38. Stone Cold Steve Austin was a guest on the show, and it ended up being an impromptu match. The Rattlesnake picked up the victory and got a great reaction from fans in Dallas at The Show of Shows. There will be an episode of Biography: WWE Legends tonight on the A&E Network, and it will feature Steve Austin's last match.
Owens took to his official X account ahead of the show and noted that it was a night he would never forget.
"A night I’ll never forget. A moment I will always feel extremely lucky, privileged and grateful to have been a part of. In some ways, a match 17 years in the making…Tonight on @aetv at 9/8c,Biography: WWE Legends, featuring Stone Cold’s Final Match. @steveaustinBSR," he wrote.
Kevin Owens reveals he has been asking a WWE legend for a WrestleMania match for years
Former Universal Champion Kevin Owens disclosed that he has been asking Shawn Michaels to have a match at WrestleMania for years.
The Heartbreak Kid has not competed in a match since Crown Jewel 2018 in Saudi Arabia. He teamed up with Triple H to defeat The Undertaker and Kane at the event.
Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling's Emily Mae in an exclusive interview, Owens shared that he has been asking Michaels for a match at WrestleMania and will continue to do so despite being rejected every time.
"I've said in other interviews, I've been bothering Shawn Michaels every year. Like clockwork around November, I start bothering him about WrestleMania. He says no every time. I don't expect it to change, but I'm gonna keep trying.”

Kevin Owens has come up short in his quest to become United States Champion at Royal Rumble and WrestleMania XL. US Champion Logan Paul retained his title at both Premium Live Events and is now set to battle Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at King and Queen of the Ring this weekend in Saudi Arabia.
KO teamed up with Randy Orton at Backlash 2024, but the duo lost to The Bloodline's Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa. It remains to be seen what's next for the star.
