Kevin Owens calls legend the 'biggest WWE star' over John Cena and Roman Reigns

Kevin Owens recently called a WWE legend the biggest wrestling star over the likes of John Cena and Roman Reigns. Owens had nothing but praise for Randy Orton, who he recently worked with during a feud against Logan Paul and later, The Bloodline.

Owens and Orton worked together for the majority of the year, feuding with Paul for the United States Championship. They even teamed up with Cody Rhodes in his fight with Solo Sikoa's new Bloodline.

In an interview with the Daily Mail ahead of WWE Bash in Berlin, KO discussed what it was like to work with a legend like Orton. He gave the 14-time WWE World Champion heaps of praise, including calling him the biggest WWE star ever over someone like Cena or Reigns.

"In my opinion, he's the biggest star in WWE. There's really something unmatched when you're in the ring getting ready for a match, whether it's against him or as his partner, and his music hits. The whole arena goes insane. A lot of superstars that have been the biggest names in WWE over the last several years, such as Roman or Cena, they were polarising figures. You'd have some people that hated them, some people that loved them. Randy, I would say 98 percent of the audience loves him. And I think that's a testament to what he's meant for so long in WWE so getting the chance to team with him has been such a thrill for me," Owens said.

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton are set for title matches at WWE Bash in Berlin. Owens will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, while Orton will try to dethrone Gunther and take his World Heavyweight Championship.

Update on Kevin Owens' contract with WWE

Kevin Owens revealed back in May that his WWE contract is set to expire in early 2025. Owens is not among the talents who signed new deals to stay with the company. He recently spoke to Rick Ucchino of Sports Illustrated and gave an update on his contract status.

KO said that there has not been any major change in his contract and the only different thing is its length, which has gotten shorter. Several WWE Superstars have signed extensions such as Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and Chad Gable.

However, some stars decided not to re-sign and became free agents. Ricochet recently signed with All Elite Wrestling, while Becky Lynch decided to take some time off from wrestling.
