Kevin Owens finally breaks silence after turning on Cody Rhodes; Randy Orton appears to choose a side

Everyone has been waiting to hear Kevin Owens' side of the story following the shocking turn on Cody Rhodes, which was captured by a fan after Bad Blood 2024. In an interesting moment, Randy Orton also came out and has now seemingly chosen a side.

This week on SmackDown, the Women's Tag Team Title match was set to take place, with the challengers Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson making their way out before their entrance was hijacked by Kevin Owens, who is still officially under suspension.

Kevin Owens' mic was cut off, and he snatched Corey Graves' headset and said that it wasn't him who turned on Cody Rhodes, but the latter turned on him. The WWE Champion came out to pick a bone with Owens, but there were enough people by that point to hold him back. Even Randy Orton came out to be the voice of reason and went to KO, only to get caught up in the heat of the moment. He struck Owens down in retaliation - seemingly siding with The American Nightmare.

It would only serve to reason that Orton would try to be the mediator, but it looks like Owens isn't in a position to do that. Many fans have instantly sided with Owens, with his betrayal based on the years of anguish caused by The Bloodline.

One only needs to go back to the 2023 Royal Rumble to see where Owens is coming from - and that's just one example.

It will be double-duty for Cody Rhodes as he also has to deal with Gunther, who he faces at Crown Jewel in a few weeks.
