Kevin Owens hilariously avoids surprise attack from current WWE champion

Kevin Owens hilariously dodged a surprise attack from a current WWE champion. The Prizefighter is on the SmackDown roster and teamed up with Cody Rhodes to defeat Grayson Waller and Austin Theory in the main event of this past Friday night's show.

WWE Tag Team Champions #DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) have been trying to hit Randy Orton with an RKO on social media but have failed so far. Ciampa spotted Owens backstage and tried to hit him with an RKO. However, Owens heard Ciampa shouting and quickly got out of the way.

The former Universal Champion then hilariously berated Ciampa before hitting him with a low blow, as seen in the Instagram post below.

The Bloodline attacked Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes following their victory this past Friday night on SmackDown. The American Nightmare will be defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa next month at SummerSlam.

Kevin Owens open to joining popular faction in WWE

Former Universal Champion Kevin Owens has disclosed that he would join a major faction in the company.

Owens has been battling The Bloodline for months now on SmackDown. The heel faction defeated Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Kevin Owens in a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank earlier this month in Toronto.

Speaking on a recent episode of WWE's The Bump, Owens stated that he has been ready to join the Latino World Order for a while. He added that he has a mask he can wear from his years on the independent wrestling scene.

"Yeah, I had the shirt [LWO shirt] on once, remember? I'm ready, just give me the call. I'm ready. I'll put a mask on and everything. No worries. I have a El Generico mask that I took from my independent years," he said.

Owens disclosed that his mother had a serious medical issue ahead of Money in the Bank, but he still competed at the event. He has since shared an update that his mother "kicked out" and is doing well. It will be interesting to see if the 40-year-old will be in action at SummerSlam on August 3.
