Kevin Patrick breaks silence on WWE release

Kevin Patrick's WWE release ahead of Royal Rumble 2024 was the talk of the town, as the departure came as a shock to many. Recently, Patrick broke his silence when he addressed the release and spoke about his time with the promotion.

Last month, Kevin Patrick stepped down as one of the commentators for WWE SmackDown. Later, the company released the star ahead of Royal Rumble 2024, and fans were disheartened by the announcement as many wanted him to remain in a different role in the promotion.

Today, it was revealed that Patrick has landed another major job as the lead host of MLS 360 on Apple TV. Moreover, he addressed his release from WWE and spoke about his three-year journey with the promotion.

"Nothing but love for 3 incredible years at WWE! From the exhilarating experiences & all the brilliant friends I worked with along the way, I’m flooded with gratitude. In saying that, it was time to turn the page, and I couldn’t be more excited for this new chapter! Cheers ♥️."

Patrick showcased gratitude and was grateful for the opportunities he received under the Stamford-based promotion.

Last year, Sheamus was feuding with Gunther and Drew McIntyre for the Intercontinental Championship heading into WrestleMania 39. Unfortunately, he lost at the event, but continued his journey to try and capture the title.

After a match with Edge on Friday Night SmackDown, the Celtic Warrior has been on a hiatus. However, Sheamus sent a heartfelt message to Kevin Patrick when he was released from the promotion ahead of Royal Rumble 2024.

"Such a privilege to have worked with Kevin Patrick, a true professional and a true Irish man. I hope to see more great things from this fella in the future.. may the road rise to meet ya @kev_egan ! Slainte 🥃."

The former SmackDown personality recently replied to the star as he started his new journey as the host of MLS 360.
