"Kind of a spit in the face" - Bobby Lashley reveals details about The Hurt Business failing to reunite in WWE

Bobby Lashley recently revealed some details about The Hurt Business failing to reunite in WWE. During the pandemic era, the faction quickly established itself as one of the hottest acts in the company.

The Hurt Business included stars such as Lashley, Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP. During his time in the faction, Lashley won the WWE Championship twice. Alexander and Benjamin also won the RAW Tag Team Championship.

During the K&S WrestleFest, Lashley stated that the faction was overlooked once the pandemic era concluded.

"It was kind of a spit in the face. We were never in front of a live crowd. During the pandemic, a lot of guys sat at home, 'I'm not going to do this or that' and it was us saying, 'It's work. We're going.' We did everything. We were on half the show most the time. We came out of the pandemic and people started resurfacing, 'Oh, I'm ready to work.'"

He continued:

"What about the guys who were putting the time in during this dangerous time? We got overlooked. That was a little bit of a spit in the face. I think we could have come back and done some big things together. They just didn't want us. Different strokes for different folks. Different people like different things. When the regime changed, the regime wasn't too high on me at all," said Lashley.

Booker T wants Bobby Lashley to debut in AEW against Brian Cage

Booker T has suggested that Bobby Lashley could debut in AEW against Brian Cage.

Speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker stated Lashley and Cage would match one another quite well. He said:

"Cage got the title, right? Throw him [Lashley] in there with Brian Cage. I mean, that's a lot of beef. Both of those guys, they match very well together, right? Brian Cage likes doing dives as well. He's a diver. That might be good. That might be the match. I booked it."
