Kofi Kingston calls out WWE star for bizarre new look

WWE is getting closer to naming the next challengers to the World Tag Team Championship. A recent rivalry will resume on this week's RAW, this time featuring tournament matches. While teams are gearing up for the next obstacle, Kofi Kingston took time to call out one of his opponents for their mysterious new look.

The New Day's Kingston and Xavier Woods will face AOP's Akan and Rezar in a first-round tournament match on RAW. The Creed Brothers vs. Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio is also scheduled. The War Raiders defeated Alpha Academy to begin the tournament last Monday, and the winners will eventually face The Judgment Day's JD McDonagh and Finn Balor for the World Tag Team Championship.

Akam of The Final Testament has taken on a bit of a new look. The Indo-Canadian superstar now wears pre-match attire that includes a face mask and head-scarf, giving off a darker, more ominous look. Kofi took to X (fka Twitter) to hype Monday's match, while also trolling the 31-year-old for his look.

"Wait, wait wait- Did I sign up for the right tournament? What in tf is that?! #WWERaw," Kofi Kingston wrote with the edited photo below.

WWE had been teasing a potential split between Woods and Kingston, which could still be in the works. The New Day failed to dethrone McDonagh and Balor of the titles on the September 16 edition of RAW.
