Kofi Kingston teases popular WWE stable return following recent announcement
WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston has shared an interesting video today seemingly hinting at the return of a popular faction. Kingston is currently involved in a bitter rivalry on RAW.
The former WWE Champion has been battling The Final Testament on RAW but is currently out with an injury due to an attack from Karrion Kross. Xavier Woods will be teaming up with Otis and Akira Tozawa next Monday night to battle Kross and the Authors of Pain in a Six-Man Tag Team match. Big E recently claimed that he is feeling great after he broke his neck two years ago but noted that his C1 is not turning into new bone and he won't be cleared to return to the ring until that happens.
Kofi Kingston took to his official X/Twitter account today to share a cryptic video seemingly hinting at the return of The New Day. In the clip, Kingston is holding an item that appears to be the faction's unicorn accessory and you can check out the cryptic video in his post below.
Bill Apter believes it is time for The New Day to be repackaged in WWE
Legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter recently suggested that The New Day could use a fresh start on WWE television.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show earlier this year, Apter noted that he is a fan of the faction but they aren't connecting with fans the way they used to. The veteran stated that the group needed to be repackaged or the company should attempt to try something new with them.
"New Day rocks but it's just, it's just not sticking anymore. They need to do something new with them, with different opponents and I don't know, it's kinda like they need to be repackaged," Apter said.
Big E has not competed in a match since he suffered a broken neck in March 2022. He shared a positive health update today one month after undergoing stem cell treatment and disclosed that he was feeling great. Only time will tell if the 38-year-old ever returns to the ring.
