[PHOTO] Kurt Angle spends time with his famous actor nephew
Kurt Angle is not the only famous person in his family since he has a popular actor nephew who has starred in several television shows and movies. Angle spent some time recently with Jon Bernthal and shared a photo with him on social media.
The WWE Hall of Famer came from a wrestling family in Pittsburgh, and he gained immense popularity due to his Olympic and pro wrestling careers. However, Angle might even have a more popular nephew in Bernthal, who is famous for portraying Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead and Frank Castle/Punisher in The Punisher in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
On his Instagram Story, the Olympic gold medalist shared that he spent some time with Bernthal and his family at Kennywood Park in Pennsylvania.
"Brought my nephew @jonnybernthal and family to @kennywoodpark. Always a great time," Angle wrote.
Jon Bernthal has been married to Kurt Angle's niece, Erin Angle, since 2010, and they have three children together. Erin is the daughter of Mark and Cindy Angle. Mark Angle is the older brother of the WWE Hall of Famer.
Kurt Angle tried to get into the MCU through Jon Bernthal
Since retiring as a wrestler, Kurt Angle has turned into a podcaster with his own show. Angle also dabbled into acting earlier in his career, and it seems like he's interested in doing it again.
On an episode of The Kurt Angle Show in April, the former WWE Champion revealed that he got Kevin Feige's number from Jon Bernthal and tried his luck to get a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"I reached out to him and told him that I'd be interested in doing a Marvel movie, and he actually responded to me, but nothing ever came of it. I got it from my nephew-in-law, Jon Bernthal. He actually gave me his contact information. So I talked to him, but unfortunately, nothing has occurred since then," Angle said. [H/T: Fightful]
Angle has appeared in films such as Warrior, Pain & Gain, Sharknado 2: The Second One, and The Last Witch Hunter. His most recent role was playing himself on Ryan's Mystery Playdate in Nickoledon in 2021.
