LA Knight details why he is always in trouble with WWE management
LA Knight is one of the most beloved WWE Superstars on the entire roster. However, The Megastar recently revealed that he often gets into trouble with the company's management.
Thanks to his impressive promos, the 42-year-old gained massive support from the WWE fans, which saw him being pushed into the main event scene. He even challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel 2023. However, it was only at SummerSlam earlier this year that Knight won his first-ever title on the main roster when he defeated Logan Paul for the United States Championship.
In a recent interview with SPORTbible, LA Knight revealed that he sometimes gets into trouble for his mic work. The SmackDown Superstar doesn't like to go in pre-planned, whereas WWE management likes structure in the promos. Knight added that although he tries to find a middle ground at times, the wrestling promotion mostly lets him do his thing while asking him not to push it too far.
"Sometimes I get myself in trouble because I like to work a little more off the cuff, and sometimes they [WWE management] like a little structure. I try to meet them in the middle on that, and for me, I want to listen and react instead of thinking of all this prefab. It didn't feel right to me. If I want to be as authentic as I can be and connect with everybody out there, I need to listen. Instead of going out there pre-planned, just being able to be authentically me has been a godsend. Sometimes I have to meet them in the middle, but for the most part, they're like, 'We'll let you do your thing, but just don't push it!'" he said. [H/T: SPORTbible]
LA Knight was absent from WWE SmackDown last week
LA Knight defended his United States Championship in a Triple Threat Match at Crown Jewel. The Megastar was involved in a highly engaging back-and-forth battle with fellow SmackDown Superstars Andrade and Carmelo Hayes. The exhilarating contest, which had the fans on the edge of their seats, ended with the champion pinning Hayes to retain his title.
LA Knight was absent from the blue brand's show following the Saudi Premium Live Event. Ahead of the November 8 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, it was reported that the former Max Dupri would miss the show as he was banged up from his match at Crown Jewel.
LA Knight is expected to show up on SmackDown later tonight. It remains to be seen what lies ahead for the United States Champion following his successful title defense at the recent PLE.
