LA Knight embarassingly botches signature move after multiple attempts on WWE SmackDown

LA Knight competed in a major match on WWE SmackDown tonight. Toward the end, he botched one of his signature moves.

LA Knight's rise in WWE has been astronomical. Over the past year, he has become one of the company's most popular stars, catapulting him into the main event spot. He even challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship but came up short.

This year, Knight has been chasing singles glory. After being unable to win the world title, he turned his attention to the United States Championship. After chasing Logan Paul for a title match, Knight made it count, and LA won the title at SummerSlam. Since then, he has defended the gold a couple of times.

Tonight on the blue brand, Knight defended his title against Andrade in a hard-fought contest. Both men put on a tough fight till the end. Knight went for his signature jump onto the top rope to hit the superplex during the match, but he slipped.

He went for it a second time and slipped off the rope again. Finally, he successfully jumped onto the top rope a third time, but this time, Andrade dropped down. This embarrassing botch entertained the fans. In the end, Knight defeated Andrade and retained his title.

It will be interesting to see who will be next in line to challenge LA Knight for the United States Championship.
