LA Knight explains why win over top WWE star mattered, and felt different

LA Knight's luck has turned around on WWE SmackDown in two years time. And it all commenced at SummerSlam for The Megastar. Reflecting on his win over Logan Paul, Knight revealed how gratifying it was.

At Cleveland Browns Stadium on August 3, LA Knight won his first main roster title in World Wrestling Entertainment. For an athlete who spent years in the business, and was rejected by the sports entertainment giant at one point, naturally, this must have felt sweet. For The Megastar, it was a shot of "adrenaline."

Speaking on Reality of Wrestling, Knight opened up about his US Title win at SummerSlam. He revealed that usually when the referee counts the deciding pinfall, there is a sense of relief for him as he'd be exhausted from the in-ring action. However, when he defeated Logan Paul, it was "straight adrenaline":

"Straight adrenaline. Nothing else. Nothing mattered. I mean, if you saw the way that I just popped up when that three happened is unusual. [...] But with this one, it was just straight up adrenaline, the whole place exploded and it was just like 'Give me that belt,' and, it was time to just take my moment," Knight said. The Megastar has since defended the US Title against Santos Escobar and Ludwig Kaiser. On the Season Premiere episode of SmackDown this past Friday, WWE put the spotlight on his next challenger, Andrade.

LA Knight makes bold claim about Andrade following WWE SmackDown

Andrade appears to have put Carmelo Hayes behind him as the two wrestled for the fifth time on Friday. The former United States Champion picked up the win, and in the process, became the number-one contender to LA Knight's US Title.

Speaking on SmackDown LowDown, Knight had some strong words for Andrade. He claimed that the former AEW star may have been victorious over Hayes, but the former only won a contest to become a "big-time loser," stressing that nobody will take the belt away from him:

"My man, look, all you did, I told you before, the only thing you did is you won a contest to be a big-time loser. 'Cause ain't nobody taking this off me, not you, not anybody. Why? Not 'cause you're not good enough, but because I won't let you. That's not an insult, that's just a fact of life. Whose game is it? With everybody saying, 'LA Knight, yeah!'"

The two are set to square off on the next episode of SmackDown. Whether Andrade manages to silence The Megastar bears watching.
