LA Knight extends 5-month streak on WWE SmackDown

LA Knight picked up another huge win tonight on WWE SmackDown. With this, he has now extended his winning streak to five months.

LA Knight has established himself as one of the most popular stars on SmackDown after his arrival on the brand. He spent several months in search of his first title which he finally won at WWE SummerSlam 2024.

Since winning the title, Knight has been trying to prove that he was a fighting champion. He has defended the title several times against Santos Escobar, Carmelo Hayes, and Andrade.

Knight has been on a roll as of late and hasn't lost a televised singles match since June 7, 2024. Tonight on the blue brand, the United States Champion looked to continue this streak as he issued an open challenge for his title. He was interrupted by Legado Del Fantasma. Santos Escobar was about to accept the challenge when Knight cut him off and said that he had already beaten him. Instead, he wanted to offer the opportunity to Humberto Carrillo.

Humberto then ambushed Knight to kickstart the match. The Legado Del Fantasma member gave it his all in the match but it was the US Champion who walked away with the win, thereby extending his televised singles winning streak to five months.

It looks like LA Knight is on a mission to establish the US Championship as the workhorse title in the WWE.
