LA Knight gives himself a unique nickname after WWE Crown Jewel; sends a bold message
LA Knight retained the WWE United States Championship at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. After the PLE, he gave himself a new nickname, The Nation's Champ.
At Crown Jewel, Knight defeated Andrade and Carmelo Hayes in an incredible Triple Threat Match. During the match's closing sequence, The Megastar hit the BFT and pinned Hayes for the win.
Heading into the match, Andrade and Hayes crossed paths on six occasions. Knight, the Special Guest Referee for the seventh match between Andrade and Hayes, interrupted during the contest. The Megastar's actions led to Nick Aldis announcing the Triple Threat Match for Crown Jewel.
On Twitter/X, Knight posted a video of him cutting a promo backstage. He also sent a bold message, calling himself The Nation's Champ.
"There’s only one game in town and it ain’t about game 7. The Nation’s Champ does what he always does," wrote Knight.

Bill Apter spoke highly of the Triple Threat Match between LA Knight, Andrade, and Carmelo Hayes
Bill Apter praised the Triple Threat Match between LA Knight, Andrade, and Carmelo Hayes.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling, the wrestling veteran discussed Knight's popularity. He believes the company wouldn't dethrone him as the United States Champion. Apter said:
"Nothing negative about this match. Off the charts energy as the broadcasters said several times. Lots of high-flying action with LA Knight retaining in an 'This is awesome!' chant match. Andrade and Hayes did an excellent job but WWE is not ready to take the U.S. honors from the hugely popular LA Knight yet."
At the SummerSlam Premium Live Event, Knight defeated Logan Paul to win the United States Championship. He successfully defended the title on SmackDown against Andrade and Hayes before defeating both superstars at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. This was Knight's first title defense at a Premium Live Event.
It remains to be seen which superstar will step up as The Megastar's next challenger for the United States Championship.
