LA Knight makes bold proclamation after career-altering WWE decision ahead of SmackDown
Popular WWE star LA Knight delivered an interesting message ahead of tonight's edition of SmackDown. It was reported earlier today that the 41-year-old agreed to a new deal with WWE after months of negotiations.
Logan Paul defended the United States Championship against LA Knight at the Premium Live Event this past Saturday night. Machine Gun Kelly accompanied The Maverick to the ring and gave him brass knuckles during the match. Paul bashed Knight over the head with them and set up for the Buckshot Lariat.
However, The Megastar countered into the BFT (Blunt Force Trauma) for the pinfall victory and captured the United States Championship. Ahead of tonight's SmackDown, Knight took to social media to claim that he was saving the title one day at a time.
"Saving the US (Title) one day at a time," he wrote.
Logan Paul claimed he was taking legal action against Knight after the veteran damaged his Prime truck.
Triple H reacts to LA Knight winning the United States Championship at WWE SummerSlam
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H sent a message to LA Knight after he captured the United States Championship over the weekend.
Knight debuted on the main roster as Max Dupri, the leader of the Maximum Male Models faction. However, the faction was eventually disbanded, and the veteran has since become a huge singles star. Following his victory at SummerSlam, Triple H took to social media to send a message to Knight and said that he deserved to be champion.
"What a ride it’s been for LA Knight. Congratulations to your NEW #USChampion on an unbelievably well-deserved championship victory at #SummerSlam," Triple H wrote.

Knight had never won a title on the main roster before defeating Logan Paul to capture the United States Championship at SummerSlam. He challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship last year at Crown Jewel 2023 but came up short.
It will be interesting to see what the company has planned for Knight's title reign in the weeks ahead and if Logan Paul brings their storyline to court.
