LA Knight is officially a top babyface in WWE after SmackDown segment; according to wrestling veteran (Exclusive)

Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke highly of LA Knight's first-ever confrontation with Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns and the rest of the Bloodline interrupted John Cena on SmackDown this week. Cena made it clear that he did not want to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship because he hadn't earned that right yet. However, he mentioned that someone on the roster had earned that opportunity, and Knight's music hit.

This week on Smack Talk, Mantell felt that Knight was getting a huge rub by being in the ring with the likes of Cena and Reigns. He mentioned that the 40-year-old is now officially a top name in WWE and is doing very well, rubbing shoulders with The Tribal Chief.

"It's a good way to get LA Knight over. Now he's in there. Now he's accepted. He's a top guy and they're gonna keep him there because they need him there. A lot of people may have said, Well, I don't know what he's gonna do.' But you know, when he came out there, he fit in. He did very, very well." [From 21:24 to 21:45]

Roman Reigns speared LA Knight to end the show

This week on SmackDown, LA Knight found himself in a singles matchup with Solo Sikoa.

The Megastar was doing quite well against The Street Champ. However, Sikoa called on Jimmy Uso for some assistance. John Cena also rushed in to take care of Uso with an Attitude Adjustment. Amidst all this chaos, Knight hit the BFT on Solo for the win.

However, he didn't have much time to celebrate as Roman Reigns appeared suddenly and flattened him with a Spear to close out the show.
