LA Knight reveals his four greatest wrestlers of all time
WWE Superstar, LA Knight, has revealed who he believes are the four greatest professional wrestlers of all time. The Megastar's list does not feature any stars from the current generation.
The 41-year-old is one of the most beloved babyfaces on the main roster. He defeated Logan Paul at SummerSlam to become the new WWE United States Champion, ending The Maverick's 273-day title reign. Knight has defended the title twice, already equalling Logan Paul's successful championship defenses within the first month of his reign.
LA Knight recently spoke to Brad Gilmore from Reality of Wrestling. On being asked who he considered the greatest wrestler of all time, the SmackDown star stated he couldn't name one, and it has always been four names for him; Stone Cold Seve Austin, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair.
Knight added that his choice was based strictly on the professional accomplishments of these wrestling legends, rather than how they lived their personal lives.
"I can't name one. For me, it's always been four — four who kind of tie for it," he said. "So it's going to be Austin, Rock, Hogan and Flair. Let go of whatever all the personal outside stuff is because, for me, I don't agree with a lot of the stuff that the latter two have been doing as far as the craziness in their personal lives, but from a professional level as performers in the ring and in this business, Austin, Rock, Flair, Hogan, 100% hands down." LA Knight is set to defend the United States Championship tonight on WWE SmackDown
The upcoming edition of WWE SmackDown is scheduled to air live from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. In one of the matches advertised for the show, Andrade will challenge LA Knight for the United States Championship.
The 34-year-old defeated Carmelo Hayes last week to become the number-one contender for the title he once held. Last week's match between the two former NXT Champions was the fifth time they collided in a span of two months. Both performers had won two bouts each, before locking horns on the September 13 edition of the blue brand's show.
LA Knight's previous defenses were against Santos Escobar and Ludwig Kaiser, respectively. He will defend the title against a former United States Champion for the first time later tonight. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
