LA Knight's match came to an unexpected end on SmackDown, according to former WWE manager (Exclusive)
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell spoke about LA Knight facing Tama Tonga this week on SmackDown. Tonga and Knight squared off in the quarterfinals of the King of the Ring tournament.
The odds were stacked against Knight in the match as Solo Sikoa and Tonga Loa were a constant threat on the outside. The Megastar had Tonga for the BFT but Siikoa intervened. With Knight distracted, Tama Tonga hit the STO on his opponent for the win.
During this week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell spoke about the encounter. He agreed that it was surprising to see Knight not kicking out of the move. He felt WWE caught fans by surprise with the finish but they would still return because of the unpredictability.
"Okay, they've spoiled you now. You expected him [LA Knight] to kick out and when he doesn't, that's the first thing you say, 'I didn't expect that.' You didn't expect it, did you?" [From 16:18 onwards]

Back in the day, Tama Tonga's father, Haku, won the King of the Ring tournament. It will be interesting to see if Tonga can also win the same tournament as his father.
