Veteran voices concern over LA Knight's WWE future

Evidently, without much of a backup from the management at first, WWE Superstar LA Knight demanded a good spot on the card, and a point came when the company simply couldn't deny it. But has that moment passed?

Wrestling veteran Konnan expressed concern over how The Megastar has been booked of late. His United States Championship reign, albeit lasted for four months, had nothing memorable. Furthermore, Knight lost the belt to Shinsuke Nakamura, who had just returned to the ring after spending time off-screen almost the entire year.

Speaking on Keepin' It 100, Konnan discussed Solo Sikoa igniting a rivalry with LA Knight and Andrade by attacking them with The New Bloodline on his side. The veteran raised concerns over Knight, wondering if The Megastar has legitimate backstage heat:

"I'm afraid of what they're doing with LA Knight because they took the title off of him, right? The reactions aren't as hot as it used to be. They're still hot [though], right? And then he got, basically squashed by a mid-carder. So maybe they're giving up on him," Konnan said. [From 1:35 to 1:54]

In 2024, Knight made his WrestleMania debut and won his first WWE title. However, as the company moves to Netflix, The Megastar has been relegated to a rather insignificant position. Perhaps a program with The New Bloodline is not the worst thing if the storyline is given enough meat.

Disco Inferno further weighs in on how he feels WWE views LA Knight

The aforementioned podcast's host brought up Jim Cornette's recent speculation that LA Knight has " personally offended " WWE CCO Triple H. This prompted Disco Inferno to further discuss The Megastar, whom he called "teflon," as someone who does not need to be positioned high up on the card. Konnan intervened, rejecting Inferno's notion:

"Or maybe they think that his character is kind of like teflon, because he's got the shtick with the mic, with the audience participation, and maybe this is just a thing that they do see guys—they position guys in parts of the card, and they don't really," Disco Inferno said, before Konnan cut him off. "This is what I would say about that. I think he was teflon at the beginning, I don't believe he's teflon now." [From 3:01 to 3:22]

Watch the video clip above as WWE highlights Solo Sikoa vs. LA Knight from this past Friday on SmackDown. It remains to be seen where this storyline goes from here. Meanwhile, Sikoa has a massive match ahead of him, and it does not feature The Megastar.
