LA Knight teases match with legendary WWE name at WrestleMania 41
LA Knight has been at the top of the world on WWE SmackDown as the United States Champion. Recently, The Megastar teased a major match against The Leader of Cenation in Las Vegas at WrestleMania 41.
Earlier this year, LA Knight fulfilled his promise and dethroned Logan Paul as the United States Champion. The Megastar has made a handful of title defenses and put the title on the map on Friday Night SmackDown.
In an interview with 105.1 The Bounce, the star was asked who he would like to face in Las Vegas. The Megastar's first preference was a match against The Leader of Cenation, as it would be the 16-time World Champion's last outing at the event.
"Man, its tough to call that because you look at the fact that I'm the United States Champion right now. You also look at the fact that it's John Cena's last WrestleMania. Is there an opportunity there? Yeah, maybe. Is there something with the WWE Champion Cody Rhodes or with the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther or whoever might be at that time, cause who knows who will still be by then," Knight said. LA Knight will defend his title at WWE Crown Jewel 2024
Last year, LA Knight crossed paths with John Cena, and The Leader of Cenation aided him in his journey against Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. The two went their separate ways when Knight and Cena defeated Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
Later, John Cena and LA Knight were some of the stars who celebrated with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. Earlier this year, The Megastar went after Logan Paul and won the United States Championship at The Biggest Party of the Summer in Ohio.
After defenses against Ludwig Kaiser, Carmelo Hayes, and Andrade, a best-of-seven final was set to determine a new number one contender between Hayes and Andrade for The Megastar's title.
On the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown, LA Knight caused a DQ and ended the match without a decisive winner. Later, Nick Aldis booked a Triple Threat Match for the title at WWE Crown Jewel 2024.
