LA Knight teases unresolved issues with top WWE star

Fresh off a successful WrestleMania debut, LA Knight failed to earn an opportunity to face Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Ironically, the man who put him away is none other than the one who fell to The Megastar on the grand stage: AJ Styles.

Styles will now advance to Backlash France with a shot at knocking off The American Nightmare from the throne.

Taking to Instagram, LA Knight commented on WWE's post which highlighted The Phenomenal One's victory over him. He called out the company for not talking about Styles poking him in the eye to pick up a cheap win.

The Megastar still has the ability to hold the crowd in the palm of his hands at every arena. However, his most recent loss has evidently gotten to him. It's worth noting that Knight's issues with the former WWE Champion escalated in February when the latter flew all the way to Australia to cost him a number-one contender's Elimination Chamber match.

Ex-WWE star believes AJ Styles and LA Knight could team up after completing a trilogy of matches

There are similar stories that the sports entertainment giant has told in the past. For example, Sheamus and Cesaro became the now famous tag team known as "The Bar," between 2016 and 2019, after their series of hard-hitting contests. The two later displayed incredible chemistry as a unit.

Former Stamford-based promotion star Matthew Rehwoldt (fka Aiden English) predicted the upcoming Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles title contest on the REBOOKED Wrestling Podcast. He feels that The Phenomenal One's issues with Knight could come back and bite him. Furthermore, he added that after a rubber match between the two, a new tag team could be formed:

"I feel like they're not done yet. We're gonna get to an LA vs. AJ stipulation match post-Backlash. I think he'll [LA Knight] come maybe do something to cost him [AJ Styles] the title at Backlash or not cost him because again, I don't think we want Cody [Rhodes] to look like he needed help but like to screw with AJ and I think we're gonna get some kind of blow off match and then maybe after that they come together," Rehwoldt said.

Hall of Famer Kevin Nash questioned the company's decision to have a sequel to LA Knight vs. AJ Styles. He thought the match was unnecessary.
