Legend on how long Cody Rhodes' WWE title reign will last (Exclusive)

Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL on April 7 to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. In an exclusive interview, WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner discussed The American Nightmare's future with the title.

Rhodes has retained the gold twice against AJ Styles and once against Logan Paul on television since dethroning Reigns. On August 3, he will put the title on the line against The Bloodline's new leader Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam.

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter, Steiner made it clear that finances will ultimately dictate how long Rhodes remains champion:

"It all depends. If they [WWE] stop drawing, no. Especially now they're actually owned by TKO, the money is gonna be the bottom line, so as long as that keeps going, it could go as long as [they want]. Believe it or not, people don't wanna see the guy win every time. I don't care who you are. You gotta have some losses in there. But, yeah, as long as the money keeps on flowing and he [Cody Rhodes] has good opponents." [From 06:01 – 06:35]

Scott Steiner on Cody Rhodes' fellow top stars

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Scott Steiner enjoyed arguably the most successful singles run of his wrestling career. He held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and was one of the industry's biggest names.

Steiner believes WWE's current top stars, such as Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre, deserve to be in the main-event scene:

"He [Drew McIntyre] is on top. He's in a main storyline. I mean, you've [Bill Apter] been around, you've watched something like, 'Why the hell is he on TV, even?' Or, 'Why is he on top?' They [WWE] don't have a whole lot of guys like that now. Most of the guys that are on top, you can see with their presentation [that they earned their spots]." [From 05:36 – 05:57]
