Legend pitches "hell of an angle" for Liv Morgan during Rhea Ripley's WWE absence (Exclusive)
Legendary booker and manager Dutch Mantell recently gave his thoughts on how WWE should continue the Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley rivalry.
On April 15, Ripley relinquished the Women's World Championship after suffering a shoulder injury at the hands of Morgan a week earlier. The latter was among the favorites to win the vacant title in a Battle Royal on the April 22 episode of RAW. However, she was eliminated by eventual winner Becky Lynch.
Mantell appeared on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk with host Rick Ucchino. The former WWE on-screen personality pitched an idea involving Morgan and Ripley inside a hospital room:
"I got a hell of an angle for it," Mantell said. "She [Rhea Ripley] goes for surgery, they take the camera in to record her surgery, and right at the end, all of a sudden, you hear one of the surgeons say, 'Oops,' and they peel back and it's her opponent [Liv Morgan] right there. She's worked her way in there, and she's got all the stuff on, and it's Liv in there working on her." [4:42 – 5:09]

Another way Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley could continue
Although Liv Morgan failed to win Rhea Ripley's former title on RAW, her rivalry with The Eradicator was referenced several times. At one stage, she even crossed paths with Ripley's Judgment Day stablemate Dominik Mysterio backstage.
With Ripley expected to return in three to four months, Dutch Mantell thinks her storyline with Morgan could continue on social media:
"I think that could be something if they're shooting barbs back and forth, and this is where your social media comes in, they're shooting this stuff back and forth and back and forth, and you don't really see them together until Rhea's about healed up and about ready to go. There is an upside to this, not to Rhea, I think, she believes, but I think there is an upside to this and I think it'll play out." [3:47 – 4:16]
Before their long-running feud began, Morgan and Ripley were tag team partners in 2022. Known as Liv 4 Brutality, they unsuccessfully challenged for the Women's Tag Team Championship in a Fatal Four-Way Match at WrestleMania 38.
