Legendary 6-time WWE champion breaks silence following major return after 1,041 days

After being part of a major announcement late last week, a WWE legend finally commented on her return to the company. Mickie James will be one of the coaches on the latest TV show called WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats) on the A&E channel.

James, a five-time Women's Champion and one-time Divas Champion, last wrestled for the company at the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble Match. She was the reigning TNA Knockouts Champion back then, which was the first-ever collaboration between the two wrestling promotions.

As announced on December 6, WWE LFG will feature up-and-coming wrestlers competing against each other. They will be guided by many legends such as Triple H and Shawn Michaels. They will also be coached by James alongside The Undertaker, Booker T, and Bubba Ray Dudley.

In a short Instagram live on early Thursday morning, the current OVW creative director addressed her participation in the A&E show. She's very happy about it and is thankful for all the support she has received since the announcement.

"I'm so honored to be doing this project and I know you guys are gonna love it so stay tuned for all the things. Super, super grateful, and I’m so happy to be a part of it. The team has been amazing and (I’m) having the best time," James said.

Mickie James has always been linked to a WWE return ever since the company hired her husband Nick Aldis to serve as a producer and on-screen general manager of SmackDown. James even made a surprise appearance as part of the crowd at Bad Blood.

Mickie James comments on her potential induction to the WWE Hall of Fame

There's no question whether or not Mickie James deserves to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. James has the resume to back it up despite some past issues with the company in her last two stints there.

Speaking to Busted Open Radio last week, James opened up about the possibility of getting honored with a Hall of Fame induction.

"I don't like to think about it honestly. Because then what if it doesn't happen? I'd never be disappointed because there's a long list of people that can and will go into the Hall of Fame. I feel like I will go in hopefully one day, but I don't want to think about it. I don't want to jinx it," James said. [H/T: WrestleZone]

Mickie James is currently working for OVW as its creative director and an executive producer. She's also in charge of the promotion's female talents.
