Legendary WWE Hall of Famer has needed 23 surgeries in 10 years thanks to severe injuries
A WWE Hall of Famer, who is a true legend of the wrestling business, has opened up on needing 23 surgeries in a matter of 10 years. The star spoke about it recently.
Hulk Hogan is one of the top names ever to enter a WWE ring. He did whatever it took to get what he needed, becoming a legend in the ring and notorious backstage for always being the one to go over. The star has been surrounded by controversy several times in his career, not the least of which came out when a private video was leaked, which saw him using offensive language.
While WWE removed the star from the Hall of Fame for that, he was later reinstated.
Now, appearing on the Netflix documentary Mr. McMahon, he talked about what had happened in his experience with the company. He talked about Vince McMahon, but he also talked about wrestling being fake.
In episode 1, he decided to provide an example that even if it was scripted, it didn't mean that wrestlers were not getting hurt. He said that he had needed 23 surgeries in a matter of 10 years to deal with the serious injuries.
“We were very protective of the business because wrestling is not fake. It's predetermined, it's exhibition, but I can tell you, in the last 10 years, I've had 23 surgeries. So if that's fake, please explain it to me. I didn't get the memo," H0gan said.
The star is no longer active in wrestling, although he has spoken about a last match.
