Legendary WWE tag team sends a message to The Judgment Day ahead of their first title defense in months
WWE RAW is seemingly no longer under The Judgment Day's control as the faction is busy feuding with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. Meanwhile, The New Day sent a message to Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, who are set to defend their title for the first time since they won it.
The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh won the World Tag Team Championship with Liv Morgan's help in June 2024. However, the duo hasn't defended the gold on weekly television since winning it from The Awesome Truth over two months ago.
Recently, it was revealed Adam Pearce sanctioned Balor and McDonagh's first title defense against The New Day. Later, the legendary tag team sent a message to the heel faction. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston said they needed to win the gold as the group was focused on chasing Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest.
"Of course, we got a shot. Mainly, because we're us. The greatest tag team of all time. But at the same time, The Judgment Day have [sic] been running around, being real distracted, doing a lot of running. They're running around after Rhea Ripley, running around after Damian Priest, they're doing a lot of running. It would be us taking the WWE World Tag Team Championship back where they belong for the 13th time, bro," Kingston said on RAW Talk. (From 03:40 to 04:17)

The Judgment Day's Finn Balor addresses criticism around his current WWE title reign
The Judgment Day is in its third iteration after being formed over two years ago on Monday Night RAW. The first version of the group was led by Edge, who recruited Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. The second had no leader and saw the addition of Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh following The Rated-R Superstar's exit.
The third and current version of the stable looks drastically different without Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. Regardless of the changes, the faction holds the World Tag Team Championship on Monday Night RAW. Recently, Finn Balor addressed the criticism around his third reign as tag team champion.
"Work Smarter Not Harder #72Days Champions @jd_mcdonagh @WWE @WWENXT," Balor wrote.
The champions are set to defend their title for the first time against The New Day on next week's RAW. It will be interesting to see which team will reign supreme.
