WWE News: Goldberg vs Lesnar outcome was kept confidential, Shane McMahon update
The ending of the 30th Annual WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view has generated a lot of buzz among wrestling fans from all over the world.
The main event of the evening was billed as the “Mega match”, where two former World Champions collided in one of the most anticipated rematches in history. In this battle, Brock Lesnar was scheduled to settle scores with the returning Goldberg, who had defeated him at WrestleMania 20.
Several fans had expected Goldberg to emerge the victor but the way that the match went down, hardly anyone could have predicted it. Two spears, followed by a devastating Jackhammer helped Goldberg defeat Brock Lesnar within a minute and 25 seconds!

The fans were astonished after witnessing such a well-hyped bout culminate within 2 minutes. However, a recent report by PWInsider indicates that the fans weren’t the only ones who were surprised by the outcome of Lesnar vs Goldberg II.
Apparently, a majority of the WWE locker room were unaware of the finish and witnessing Goldberg victorious over Lesnar yet again, left them in disbelief. There are reports which highlight that the booking decisions were kept confidential and only a few were aware of it.
Here’s a clip of the match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg at Survivor Series:
Moments before Fantasy warfare became a reality, fans had witnessed an incredible 5 on 5 traditional Survivor Series match between the Men of Team RAW and Team Smackdown Live.
The Commissioner of the blue brand, Shane McMahon himself, participated in the match in an attempt to lead the team “by example". In fact, Shane had a major role in the elimination of Braun Strowman from that match. He also wanted to take out the United States Champion Roman Reigns but instead got eliminated by The Big Dog.
An effort by Shane to deliver a Coast-to-Coast to Reigns backfired and Shane O Mac was at the receiving end of a shattering Spear.
PWInsider has reported that McMahon was legitimately hurt from the Spear and underwent medical supervision after the match. Moreover, he was said to be in pain while the crew was leaving the Air Canada Center, the venue for the 30th Survivor Series event.
It has since been reported that Shane McMahon was medically cleared after the event and had not sustained any severe damage, much to the relief of his family and the WWE Universe.
