"Let it go" - Veteran on WWE Superstar Carlito's alleged offensive comment (Exclusive)
Carlito apparently got into hot water recently in WWE, owing to an unscripted comment he made on RAW. However, a veteran thinks that it was not a big enough deal to cause such a buzz.
In a backstage segment, Damage CTRL's IYO SKY and Kairi Sane were seen leaving the screen after a conversation with Adam Pearce. Carlito came into the scene and said that he "needs to learn Chinese." Considering both the stars are not actually Chinese, this came off as offensive to some.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter shared his thoughts on the matter and stated:
"I hate to say, but it's like a sense of humor. Everybody takes everything so seriously. He made a silly comment okay? Let it go." [From 01:05 to 01:16]
The veteran journalist further added:
"Well they paid him back. They paid him back. They had Damien Priest beat the hell out of him with a chair, like 20 times... I think he was just doing shtick, and I don't know if they were offended. So I don't know who is offended by that." [From 01:23 to 01:42]

Another WWE veteran has also commented on the topic
According to Vince Russo, the aforementioned line by Carlito could simply be taken as a harmless joke.
Speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws show, the WWE veteran explained that considering Carlito's on-screen character, the allegedly offensive comment could just be an ignorant line. Russo stated:
"I am just saying, that sounds like an internet thing. I can't, I can't imagine anybody got their feathers ruffled, because you could take it as a joke. I mean you could take Carlito saying that to be funny. And I doubt talent would be offended, but who knows bro. We live in a different world Doctor Chris, so who knows," he said.

As of now, it remains to be seen what is next for Carlito in WWE.
