Lex Luger reveals his current WWE role (Exclusive)

Lex Luger was one of WWE's biggest stars between 1993 and 1995. In an exclusive interview, The Total Package disclosed details about the off-camera work he currently does for the company.

Luger made his name in WCW before joining WWE as an arrogant bad guy known as The Narcissist. The former bodybuilder soon became the company's top babyface and was viewed by many as the next Hulk Hogan.

Speaking to Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter, the 1994 Royal Rumble co-winner confirmed he still works for WWE in an ambassadorial role:

"I'm a WWE ambassador," Luger said. "I'm under contract with them. They send us on a lot of fan-interactive events and get us involved with what they do. That keeps us busy. Also come to some of these sign and photo opportunities with the fans. These are always great. It's great to be with the fans in a way we weren't able to back when we were bouncing around the ring. This is a great way to go over some great memories and interact with everybody, so these are a lot of fun." [0:30 – 0:56]

Lex Luger on Vince McMahon's exit and WWE's changes

In January, Vince McMahon left his position as a board member of WWE's parent company TKO amid misconduct allegations. Triple H, McMahon's son-in-law, is now in charge of main roster creative decisions.

Lex Luger did not elaborate much on WWE's behind-the-scenes changes. However, he did praise the organization for continuing to run smoothly after McMahon's departure:

"I'm not at the buildings all the time," Luger added. "I'm sure for the guys that are at the buildings it's kinda different with him not being there, for sure. He always had a strong presence there, but Hunter's [Triple H] there, a lot of the same people are still there, so it seems to be, operationally, it's going fabulous." [2:41 – 2:59]

Luger also revealed which legend he would like to induct him into the Hall of Fame if he receives the honor from WWE one day.
