"Like two sixth-grade girls fighting" - Legendary 1-time WWE Champion 'just can't go anymore', believes Kevin Nash
Kevin Nash didn't mince his words on a former WWE Champion who he thought "just can't go anymore." Nash was very critical of former WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy in a recent episode of the Kliq This podcast.
Hardy made headlines recently when it was reported that his contract with All Elite Wrestling is expiring and he was expected to join TNA Wrestling. Nash thought that The Charismatic Enigma didn't have it anymore due to how sloppy his punches were on television.
"Jeff just can't go anymore, you know? It's just when you throw punches, and they just absolutely look like two sixth-grade girls fighting in the hallway, it's like, 'Man, it's just hard not to know that you're watching just really bad fake wrestling," Nash said. [0:00 - 0:30]
At the age of 46, with a lot of wear and tear accumulated over the years, Jeff Hardy is clearly closer to the end of his career. Hardy signed with AEW back in March 2022 and his contract is expected to expire on June 14, as per PWInsider.
Many fans feel that the former WWE Champion's tenure with AEW was lackluster and marred by personal and legal troubles, as well as injuries. He was last seen on AEW TV in a match against Sammy Guevara wherein he suffered a broken nose and concussion due to a botched Shooting Star Press.
Will Jeff Hardy return to WWE?
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Jeff Hardy is not expected to return to WWE once his AEW contract expires. Hardy has been linked to TNA Wrestling and is expected to appear at Against All Odds, along with his brother Matt, who works for the promotion on a per-appearance basis.
Even if Jeff signs with TNA, it opens up the possibility of working with at least WWE NXT. The two promotions collaborated at NXT Battleground when TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace challenged Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Championship.
With Trick Williams' next challenger to be determined next week in a 25-man Battle Royal, anything is possible given that participants could come from "different locker rooms." Matt Hardy has also teased the possibility of going to NXT via social media.
