Lilian Garcia pens heartfelt note to Samantha Irvin following WWE departure
WWE's own Lilian Garcia has filled the void left by Samantha Irvin, who announced her departure recently after three years with the company. Garcia had some heartfelt words for the former ring announcer of the Stamford-based promotion.
Samantha Irvin was especially known for giving character to individual WWE Superstars during their introductions. This particular aspect of her work was often singled out.
Taking to Instagram, Lilian Garcia noted how valuable Samantha was and commended the latter for her ability to sing and play the flute as well. Garcia thanked the former employee on behalf of the entire WWE Universe and wished her well in her future endeavors.
"As I step back into the role of @wwe Ring Announcer, I first want to take a moment to recognize @samanthairvinwwe and what an extraordinary talent she is! I was able to meet Samantha a few times and each was met with such a heartfelt welcome. And when I got to see all the different sides of her from singing to playing the flute, I was blown away! I truly wish her all the success in the world as she follows her dreams, and hope you will join me in giving her a heartfelt thank you for the time and talent she did give the WWE Universe! Thank you Sam! I love you! Go get em’ girl! ❤️😊," Lilian Garcia wrote.

Jonathan Coachman speculates Samantha Irvin left WWE on account of pregnancy
Former WWE and ESPN talent Jonathan Coachman recently spoke on Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, in which he speculated about Samantha Irvin's departure from the Stamford-based promotion.
While Coachman does not know anything concrete, he believes that if Irvin is in fact pregnant, then it is possible she wanted some time off before the eventual delivery. The veteran backed up his claims because rumors of her joining AEW were debunked recently, and considering the fact that she is getting married to Ricochet soon, this could be a logical reason for her to leave the company.
"So, I did a little bit of digging. I thought about the history of certain women walking away shockingly without any notice. And most of the time they are pregnant. So, my prediction is that Samantha Irvin, and I also couple this with the fact that Ricochet, who's her fiance, she's getting married in Vegas in a very short period of time [...] I do not know this to be true but this is my gut, she is pregnant. She wanted to take time off before she has the baby," predicted Coachman.
The Women's Royal Rumble 2024 winner Bayley was left heartbroken at Samantha Irvin's departure. She joked about the former ring announcer's blunder on live television and how she forgave the latter for it.
Whether Samantha Irvin plans to return to WWE in the future is not clear as of this writing.
