Liv Morgan makes major claim ahead of championship defense on WWE RAW
WWE Superstar Liv Morgan is scheduled to defend her Women's World Title on the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW. Ahead of the match, the champion made a bold claim in a recent interview.
Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch to win the title at WWE King and Queen of the Ring. The 30-year-old then successfully defended the Women's World Championship against The Man in a Steel Cage match on the following episode of RAW. Tonight on the red brand, Morgan will lock horns with Zelina Vega in a championship bout.
While speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, the former Riott Squad member pointed out that she trusted in herself despite a lack of support. Morgan explained how her recent injury helped her get back to her best form and claimed that it was just the start and she was only entering her prime:
"This is something I created–that I didn’t feel always had a lot of support behind it–but I stuck it out because I really believed in it. I believed in myself. And when I got this opportunity, because of the time and attention to my craft, I ran with it. It’s been 10 years to get here, and we haven’t even scratched the surface yet. This is what I always hoped and dreamed for–and that’s why the time off when I was injured was so significant. It was important for my self-esteem and to re-fall in love with wrestling to come back in my best form. I’m just entering my prime. If you don’t believe me, just watch," she said. WWE Superstar Liv Morgan continues with her efforts to infiltrate The Judgment Day
Liv Morgan announced her 'Revenge Tour' following her return from injury at Royal Rumble, as she promised to take everything away from Rhea Ripley. She attacked The Eradicator backstage on RAW after WrestleMania, which led to the latter getting injured to the extent that she had to relinquish the Women's World Championship.
Morgan followed it up by winning the title. She has since been trying to woo Dominik Mysterio, who accidentally helped her beat Becky Lynch during the championship matches. Liv returned the favor last week as she helped The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh defeat R-Truth and The Miz to win the World Tag Team Championship.
Considering the rivalry between LWO and The Judgment Day, members from both factions might show their involvement in the match between Liv Morgan and Zelina Vega. It remains to be seen if the title change will change hands later tonight on WWE RAW.
