Liv Morgan responds to Dominik Mysterio's sacrifice on WWE RAW
Women's World Champion Liv Morgan got caught in the middle of a twister on this week's WWE RAW. After a backstage confrontation with Damage CTRL, Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez wrestled IYO SKY and Kairi Sane in a tag team match on the red brand.
NXT's Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson were also in the front row for the match and later got involved in the bout by attacking SKY and Sane, leading to the bout ending abruptly. Legend and Jackson confronted Morgan and Rodriguez, but Rhea Ripley interrupted. Liv and Raquel faced Mami's wrath until Dominik Mysterio saved them before the former champion could inflict further damage.
This save by the former NXT North American Champion proved detrimental for him as The Eradicator locked Mysterio in an Inverted Cloverleaf. Before things could get much worse for Dirty Dom, Morgan and Rodriguez pulled him to the outside. Taking to X/Twitter, The Mircale Kid called Dom her "hero":
"Always my hero," Liv Morgan wrote.
It appears Mami is far from done with Women's World Champion Liv Morgan despite losing to the latter twice at major events, albeit under controversial circumstances. Where this story goes from here bears watching.
Liv Morgan has an Irresistible Force waiting to annihilate her at WWE Crown Jewel, will Dominik Mysterio to leave The Judgment Day?
As WWE CCO Triple H announced at Bad Blood, this year's Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will feature the men's and women's Crown Jewel Championship match. From the women's division, the two top champions — Liv Morgan and Nia Jax — will square off.
Surprisingly, Morgan was on the attack following the announcement, as the Women's World Champion appeared on SmackDown to cost The Irresistible Force her match against Noami recently. She further cut a promo on the WWE Women's Champion this past Monday, claiming that Nia Jax is jealous of her and what she has, which is a bunch of stars who stand by her.
It is worth noting that on RAW, as The Judgment Day discussed Damian Priest's quest to regain the World Heavyweight Championship, Dominik Mysterio asked an intriguing question: "What if I'm the one who beats Gunther for the world title?" The group laughed it off. Perhaps 'Dirty' Dom may need to prove himself worthy of a bigger spot on WWE's flagship show.
This spot could also hint at the young Mysterio's exit from the heel stable in the near future.
