Liv Morgan reveals surprising exchange with police officer from recent arrest; why she's not guilty

Liv Morgan is preparing to make history at WWE Crown Jewel this weekend. The Women's World Champion is riding a massive wave of momentum with The Judgment Day. Despite the success, she dealt with an arrest and fallout almost eleven months ago. She is now revealing a surprising exchange at the police station, new details on her legal situation, and a concerning fan tidbit.

The Miracle Kid was arrested in Sumter County, Florida, on Thursday, December 14, 2023. A sheriff's deputy pulled Morgan over after her vehicle crossed the lines, and she was arrested on one count of possession of cannabis (not more than 20 grams) and one count of possession of a cannabis vape pen (possibly containing synthetic cannabinoids). The New Jersey native was booked into the Sumter County Jail before being released on a $3,000 bond.

Morgan spoke to Logan Paul and co-host Mike Maljak on IMPAULSIVE this week and provided an update on her case. She also revealed that her pre-booking jail call was made to WWE.

"So pretty much, as you know, the world knows, I did have a run-in with the law. It is all cleared up now; I am not guilty. [Logan: not a little bit?] No, not at all. There was no guilt found, it was dropped. No guilt, dropped, yeah. [Logan pressed for details] Well, you know what? Honestly, let me take a moment... I cannot make light of the situation where there were some things in my car that I was unaware of, and one of those things was a felony, so I got arrested. I bailed out and called work right away. My jail call was work," Liv Morgan said. [From 12:38 to 13:20]

Morgan confirmed she did not call Triple H from jail but did call Dan Ventrelle, former Head of Talent Relations. He advised her to keep the arrest quiet while they figured it out and not tell anyone at work.

She went to work at the Performance Center the next day but was upset at thinking she'd ruined her career and everything she'd worked for, including her community work through WWE. Maljak wondered if the arrest had added to Liv Morgan's image even a little bit.

"I don't know, what is my image? I don't... the mugshot was like, cute, you know?" Liv Morgan said. [From 14:51 to 14:57]

Logan later mentioned that the mugshot looked good. Liv agreed and recalled an exchange she had with the police officer who took her mugshot.

"Thank goodness [the mugshot looked good]. Thank goodness, honestly. [exhales] I would've been so much more upset if it was bad. [Mike: oh, it was good] What's so crazy is... it wasn't like a great one, but it was, like, good. It was one take, and you know it's crazy... even the officer, she was like, 'Ooh, like, you're going to go viral, I swear. You're going to go viral. It's a good one.' I was like, 'Is it?' and she's like, 'Yeah, I got you.' And I was like, 'Thank you,'" Liv Morgan said. [From 16:00 to 16:25]

Liv Morgan later revealed that fans had attended her signings while wearing t-shirts featuring her mugshot photo. Liv initially laughed at the shirts but then started to think maybe she didn't like the idea and is now undecided.

Liv Morgan to potentially make major WWE history

World Wrestling Entertainment will return to Saudi Arabia in just two days. The sixth Crown Jewel PLE is scheduled for Saturday at Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh.

This weekend, WWE will begin a new tradition by crowning the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion and Women's Crown Jewel Champion. Liv Morgan will face Nia Jax, while Gunther will face Cody Rhodes.

Their four brand-specific titles will not be on the line. All four Superstars will make history this weekend, but only two will be on record as history-making champions.

Liv Morgan is actually the only member of The Judgment Day booked for a match at Crown Jewel. However, Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Rhea Ripley are advertised for RAW from Saudi Arabia.

Damian Priest was previously featured in a video promo for this weekend, but it remains to be seen if he will appear. The same goes for Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Carlito, and Raquel Rodriguez.
