Liv Morgan sends a message after defeating IYO SKY at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
Liv Morgan proved herself at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event as she defeated IYO SKY to retain her Women's World Championship. The star took to Instagram to send a message after the huge win.
The match was set up after SKY won the battle royal to determine the number one contender for Morgan's title. The two women put on an enthralling match but in the end, the champion managed to walk out with gold around her waist after picking up a pinfall victory. After the match, Liv was also confronted by Rhea Ripley, seemingly confirming that Mami is next in line for the title she never lost.
Liv Morgan has been calling herself the Greatest Women's World Champion of all time and reiterated the same after her win on Saturday.
She also posted several photos and videos from her match against IYO SKY.
"THE GREATEST WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION OF ALL TIME," Morgan posted.
Liv Morgan praised IYO SKY after their match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
Liv Morgan and IYO SKY took each other to their limits at Saturday Night's Main Event. While the Japanese star was unable to win the title, she received praise from the champion after the match.
However, like a true heel, Morgan put over SKY while talking about herself in a post from WWE.
"She killed it but not as much as meeeeeeeeee," Liv said.
The feud between Rhea Ripley and Morgan is likely to resume now. Mami pinned the champion at Survivor Series: WarGames and thus should be getting a title shot. The match between them could take place on RAW's debut on Netflix which will be next month.
The two women have already clashed a couple of times this year. While Morgan managed to beat the Eradicator at WWE SummerSlam with help from Dominik Mysterio, the match between them at Bad Blood ended in DQ due to interference from Raquel Rodriguez.
