Logan Paul responds to claims suggesting that WWE reached out to him after controversial tweet

Logan Paul has taken to social media to address the Olympic boxing match between Angela Carini and Imane Khelif. His response comes after some claims surfaced online.

In the second round of the women's welterweight event at the Paris Olympics, Khelif defeated Carini in 46 seconds. The latter withdrew from the fight after claiming she had suffered intense pain in her nose, and the outcome of the match sparked controversy on social media.

Following the match, Paul took to social media to post a statement accusing Khelif of her gender identity. However, the reigning WWE United States Champion later admitted to spreading misinformation.

This led to tweets suggesting that the WWE PR Team had contacted Paul. However, the 29-year-old declined the claims.

"This is a lie," claimed Paul on Twitter/X

Jim Cornette wants LA Knight to dethrone Logan Paul at SummerSlam

Jim Cornette wants LA Knight to win the WWE United States Championship. Logan Paul won the title at the 2023 Crown Jewel Premium Live Event.

Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette stated that Paul could take a different direction after losing the United States Championship to The Megastar.

"I think he needs to win this. And if they want Logan Paul to go in a different direction, maybe somebody else can assist him in losing that by clocking him in the head or something. I don't know, but LA Knight needs to come out of this somehow with the belt and at least pinning him, you know, for the thing."

Since winning the United States Championship in 2023, Paul successfully defended the title twice. His first title defense was against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble premium live event.

His second and last title defense was at WrestleMania XL when he defeated Owens and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat Match.
