Logan Paul's plan against LA Knight completely backfires on SmackDown

Logan Paul and LA Knight were out on SmackDown for their contract signing, and things took a major turn. Following an incredible amount of trash talk, Paul's plan completely backfired.

Many fans are waiting for Logan Paul's reign as United States Champion to come to an end. He has surpassed the 250-day mark but has very few title defenses to show for it.

This week's contract signing saw a lot of trash talk compacted into a few minutes. It never stopped, even when the contract was signed and the SummerSlam US Title match was official. Things got so personal that Paul even referred to Knight by his real name, Shaun. As tensions escalated, Logan Paul's attempt to blindside LA Knight backfired.

LA Knight had the last laugh in this interaction, but it's going to be a hometown advantage for Logan as SummerSlam takes place in Cleveland. Still, many fans will be hoping for The Megastar to dethrone the United States Champion.

Backstage, Santos Escobar reminded LA Knight that although he'd pinned Logan in their Money in the Bank Qualifier, Santos was also in the match and was not pinned. As a result, LA Knight vs Santos Escobar is official for next week's SmackDown.
