Logan Paul surprisingly breaks character mid-promo on WWE SmackDown
Logan Paul and LA Knight will meet one-on-one for the United States Championship at WWE SummerSlam next month but ahead of the show the two men signed the contract to make the match official. The stars came face-to-face on the latest episode of SmackDown.
Paul and Knight exchanged words and it was quite clear that LA Knight was getting under the skin of the champion which led to him referring to him as "Shaun" instead of LA Knight.
Shaun Ricker is Knight's real name and it's unclear if there was an intent there to call him by his real name to make it clear that they were no longer messing around or if Paul legitimately called him Shaun mid-promo and broke character.
However, it is quite unlike Logan Paul to break character as he is quite good at maintaining character irrespective of who he is standing from across the ring.
It seemed as though there were some real issues between the two men throughout the promo and Paul didn't want to really have to defend his title at WWE SummerSlam but signed the contract to stop LA Knight from arguing with him.
Knight called Paul out last week after he had already signed the contract, and it was only Paul's name that was needed this week. Once the champion signed on the dotted line, the match was official and the two men once again almost came to blows, with Knight getting the upper hand.
