Ludwig Kaiser puts WWE legend on notice, teases going after top title

Ludwig Kaiser first appeared on WWE TV in April 2022 alongside Gunther. Despite being an immensely talented performer, he always played second fiddle to The Ring General.

This past Monday, Kaiser unexpectedly appeared during the Intercontinental Title match between Sheamus and Bron Breakker. In a surprising turn of events, he stood tall to end the segment, claiming to end the former WWE Champion's career for good. The Irishman first signed with World Wrestling Entertainment in 2007. He burst into the main event scene just two years later with a defining victory over then-WWE Champion John Cena.

Taking to Instagram, The European Excellence once again reiterated his sentiment about retiring Sheamus, who is on the hunt for the IC Title as he has never won it before. Kaiser noted that it is time he gets opportunities at championships, and veterans like The Celtic Warrior and their quest for staying relevant do not matter at this stage.

"I should be a champion by now. I should be main eventing Monday Night RAW each and every week. I should be headlining the premium live events. But I'm not. And nobody understands how it feels to have the skill, the aura, the ambition and the work ethic to be at the top of our industry. That is where Ludwig Kaiser belongs."

He added:

"Nobody knows what it's like to sit at home watching somebody like Sheamus getting opportunity after opportunity. Speed matches, Intercontinental Championship matches, wasting all of them. And still there is Ludwig Kaiser who has to wait and stand back... The question is not if Ludwig Kaiser is going to be a champion one day, the question is when! The answer to that question—is now."

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther asks Ludwig Kaiser to be his own man

Two years after Gunther's WWE main roster debut, he became the World Heavyweight Champion of RAW. Since becoming champion, he has largely been kept apart from Ludwig Kaiser. This past Monday, he told Kaiser that he can deal with his upcoming challenger, Damian Priest, and that his protégé should go and make a name for himself.

"You do not speak for me. You need to realize who you are and make a name for yourself," Gunther said.

Gunther vs. Damian Priest is booked for Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Meanwhile, Kaiser's ascend into the title picture on RAW should make for compelling television.
