Lyra Valkyria gives hilarious new nickname to major faction ahead of WWE RAW
Lyra Valkyria has given a major faction on WWE RAW a hilarious new nickname ahead of tomorrow night's show. Tomorrow's episode of RAW will take place in Minnesota and it is the last edition of the red brand ahead of WWE SummerSlam on August 3.
Zoey Stark, Shayna Baszler, and Sonya Deville have formed a new faction on WWE RAW. Deville missed a significant amount of time with a torn ACL but returned to action earlier this month. She battled Valkyria last Monday night and picked up the victory due to interference from Stark.
Lyra Valkyria will be teaming up with Katana Chance and Kayden Carter to battle the faction in a six-woman tag team match tomorrow night. Ahead of the match, Valkyria took to social media to give Deville's faction a hilarious new nickname.
"Birds vs Buttheads," she wrote.
Lyra Valkyria was selected by RAW in this year's WWE Draft. She made it to the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament in May but was defeated by Nia Jax.
Vince Russo believes absent WWE star should be upset about Lyra Valkyria's loss on RAW
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently claimed that Becky Lynch should be bothered by Lyra Valkyria's loss to Sonya Deville last Monday night.
Becky Lynch has not competed in a match since her loss to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage Match on the May 27 edition of WWE RAW. The Man's contract with the promotion has expired, and she is currently a free agent. The veteran spent time in NXT last year and had a rivalry with Valkyria. She dropped the NXT Women's Championship to the 27-year-old at Halloween Havoc 2023.
Speaking on Sportskeeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Vince Russo stated that he would be annoyed if he were Becky Lynch following Valkyria's loss. Russo noted that Lynch put Valkyria over in NXT and the company hasn't capitalized on it during her time on the main roster so far.
"If I am Becky Lynch, I'm saying why did you have me endorse her if you're gonna do absolutely nothing with her? That brings down my brand, that brings down my brand." (25:30 - 25:42)

Sonya Deville had to rely on outside interference to get the better of Lyra Valkyria last Monday night. Only time will tell which team will emerge victorious in the six-woman tag team match on this week's episode of RAW.
