Lyra Valkyria shows off stunning new look ahead of WWE Crown Jewel
WWE star Lyra Valkyria took to social media today to show off a new look ahead of Crown Jewel. The Premium Live Event will go down tomorrow night at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Valkyria took to Instagram today to share a new look ahead of WWE Crown Jewel 2024 this weekend. She shared a post featuring a few photographs of her new hairstyle. Her hair now has blue streaks in it, and you can check out Valkyria's stunning new look in her Instagram post below.
"Just a little blue bird in Saudi🪶," she wrote.
Valkyria is not currently scheduled to compete at Crown Jewel this weekend. The promotion will also be taping this Monday's episode of RAW in Saudi Arabia, and Valkyria could potentially be in action on the red brand next week. Valkyria competed in Saudi Arabia at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.
She made it to the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament but was defeated by Nia Jax at the Premium Live Event in May. Nia Jax will be squaring off against Liv Morgan for the Women's Crown Jewel Championship tomorrow night.
Former WWE writer claims Becky Lynch should be upset about how Lyra Valkyria is being used on television
Wrestling legend Vince Russo recently stated that Becky Lynch should be upset about how Lyra Valkyria is being utilized on WWE television.
Lyra Valkyria won the NXT Women's Championship from Becky Lynch at Halloween Havoc 2023. The Man has not competed since losing to Liv Morgan on the May 27 edition of RAW, and her contract with the promotion expired earlier this year.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW show, Russo stated that Lynch should be upset about how Lyra Valkyria is being used on the main roster. He noted that Big Time Becks put Valkyria over and could argue that her not being booked well negatively impacted her brand.
"If I am Becky Lynch, I'm saying why did you have me endorse her if you're gonna do absolutely nothing with her? That brings down my brand, that brings down my brand," said Russo.
Lyra Valkyria has not captured a title during her time on the main roster so far. It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for the 28-year-old moving forward.
