Major change coming to Roman Reigns in the new year, believes veteran; subtle shots fired at LA Knight
A former WWE employee thinks a major change is happening next year, and it will involve superstars such as Roman Reigns. Tommy Carlucci, who was with the company for more than 30 years, expressed his unhappiness with the current setup of the rosters while also taking a subtle shot at LA Knight.
Carlucci began working for WWE in 1988 and had roles such as assistant producer, floor manager, and senior director. He was released from his contract in 2020 and currently co-hosts a podcast called Behind The Turnbuckle with Jonathan Coachman.
The 30-year wrestling veteran recently filled in for Vince Russo in the latest episode of The Coach and Bro Show on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge. One of the topics they discussed was the brand split setup that Carlucci wants gone. He thinks Roman Reigns will be moving to RAW when it comes to Netflix while taking a subtle shade at LA Knight as the potential flagbearer of SmackDown on the USA Network.
"This brand split's got to go, man. It's the shits, and for you to put a storyline over now, we're seeing guys crossover. Solo was (on RAW) the other night, they're crossing over to SmackDown now. … It doesn't work at all. We need a combination of both there, and God forbid when it happens, when RAW gets on Netflix, all the big stars are going to RAW. What you have at SmackDown? You have nobody. They want Roman over there. Punk is going to be there. What do you got for SmackDown? LA Knight, I'm not crapping on LA Knight, but with no Roman there, who's going to be watching on the USA Network? The brand split needs to stop in 2025," Carlucci said. [From 6:53 - 7:38]
WWE RAW is set to move from the USA Network to Netflix on the first Monday of 2025. The company reportedly wants the biggest names on the premiere episode, so superstars such as Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, John Cena, and more are likely to be there.
Roman Reigns brags about The OG Bloodline's aura
Speaking in a video on TikTok while in a barber's chair, Roman Reigns responded to a fan who described The OG Bloodline's reunion as filled with aura. Reigns teased about putting the "family together" ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames.
"That's the aura of The Bloodline right there, man. That's why I'm trying to make this thing happen. I'm trying to fix everything because special things happen when my family's together. Stay tuned," Reigns said.
The Original Tribal Chief is set to team up with Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, and one more superstar to take on Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and a fifth member at Survivor Series inside WarGames.
